CORBYN Marais is Curro Hillcrest’s SPAR Star of the Month. He is currently in Grade 10 and during the recent school holidays he competed in the first ever SA Champs Obstacle Course event and snapped up third place in the U19 category.
Corbyn will now compete in the U17 World Champs in October in London.
“This is a fantastic achievement as Corbyn has only been involved in obstacle course racing for a year,” said Curro Hillcrest’s marketing manager, Fiona Johnson.
He started running when he was nine years old and when he was introduced to obstacle course racing by his running coach, he was hooked.
Corbyn is a keen athlete and his dream is to study sports science after school.
“We wish Corbyn all the best in this wonderful opportunity,” said Fiona.
