Malvern SAPS’ patrol hotspot areas

Malvern police made sure residents in a variety of areas identified as hotspots, were aware of all they needed to know to stay safe and prevent crime.

MALVERN SAPS held an operation in August to commemorate Women’s Month to help educate the communities it serves on safety and crime prevention.

Operation Basadi included blue light patrols of areas defined as hotspots for crime and foot patrols by a group headed by Station Commander Lt-Col Valarine Reddy to the Huntley Road shack areas as well as other areas in the Malvern area.

“The search yielded successes in dealing in liquor and three possessions of dagga. Police also gave safety hints and handed out pamphlets on prevention of rape of children, domestic violence and applications for protection orders,” said Marimuthu.
