Highbury travels into ancient Egypt

The boys presented interesting facts about food in Egypt after showing off their costumes.

HIGHBURY’S inaugural Grade 5 Egyptian day was superb.

The boys created soap-carvings of Egyptian icons and watched ‘The Prince of Egypt’ before heading to the dining hall which had been beautifully decorated by the boys’ moms.

Their lunch-time feast began with a fashion show of costumes from mummies to pharaohs, princes, princesses, peasants and gods to great applause.

The boys presented interesting facts about food in Egypt before getting stuck into their delicious feast of pita with dips, chicken, potato and vegetables and even ice-cream. They finished off the day with a quiz to see who listened well.

“Thank you to our passionate teachers and moms for creating such a memorable experience,” said Highbury’s marketing assistant, Jacqui Maurice.
