M7 clear after morning multi-vehicle accident

The road remained closed for almost two hours while vehicles and debris were cleared from the road.

A MULTIPLE vehicle accident, which left 20 people injured on the morning of Tuesday, 22 January, closed parts of the M7 (Solomon Mahlangu Drive)  for almost two hours.

According to Rescue Care spokesman, Garrith Jamieson, the traffic had been severely affected by the accident in which more than 10 vehicles, two of them heavy-duty, were involved.

The car pile-up resulted in the closure of the Bluff-bound section of the M7 (Solomon Mahlangu Drive) for some time in the period shortly after peak traffic. Paramedics and emergency services attended to those injured and managed the scene, along with police.
