“Our task now is to ensure that the community gets the service they deserve from SAPS, and that there is a healthy relationship formed. This committee will make every effort to bring about unity within our communities, to work together in exposing criminal elements, and to introduce various projects that will benefit everyone,” said King.
“The CPF Exco will host public meetings once a month where concerns can be raised and solutions found. We will also be targeting the youth in various projects whereby we can educate them on the impact of various social ills which have a direct impact on their future including drug and alcohol abuse.”
King also said the committee wanted to make a plea to the community as a whole to support the newly elected committee and join in the effort it shares with everyone to fight crime in the area.
