Children rise to the Big Splash challenge

The centre joined forces with Dolphinatics Swimming Academy to do water therapy with their Blue Group.

CHILDREN With A Challenge Day-Care Centre (CWAC) hosted a ‘Big Splash’ on Tuesday, 19 November for their members.

At the beginning of the year, the centre joined forces with Dolphinatics Swimming Academy to do water therapy with their Blue Group, “predominantly wheelchair uses,” said centre manager, Paula van Eeden.

“The members were getting bored with just physio or exercises as it was not much fun,” she added.

Paula said their members have improved so much which is the reason they decided to have a morning where they can show off their skills to their parents.

After the big splash, each member received a certificate and the parents were happy and impressed with the swimming skills they have acquired.
