Event awards queens of society
The event created a platform for single mothers to hold stalls and sell homemade goods.
ARISE Queen of Africa, an event to honour and award women who do good in their communities, was held at the Westville Country Club.
According to organiser, Evelyn Naidoo, the evnt was birthed from the need to create awareness on issues of gender-based violence against women and children.
The event also touched on cancer survivors and the disabled.
“The event created a platform for single mothers to sell their commodities at our stalls andwe also honoured all the undercover angels that have worked with their own drive and passion in enhancing the lives of others,” she said.
Guest speaker and award recipient, Margaret Hirsch said, “I would like to thank Evelyn for organising and bringing all these women together and giving selflessly.”
