Musical interlude rocks networking event

The Hirsch's Ladies Networking morning, the last one before lockdown, was a merry affair with a festive ending.

DON’T presume that when businesswomen and entrepreneurs meet to network the occasion is necessarily serious and austere.

The spontaneous song and dance finale to the Hillcrest Hirsch’s ladies networking morning proved otherwise.

The event featured entertaining guest speaker, Ruby (Rose) Strydom, musician and voice coach who gave great advice on how businesswomen should introduce and present themselves with confidence, and ended her talk with a festive song that had the ladies singing along, clapping and dancing.

It proved to be a great relief from the negative news reports, such as the dreaded coronavirus.

People left feeling uplifted and more positive; perhaps a jolly musical interlude after each meeting should be de riguer to de-stress and feel better about everything, arming one to face the rest of the week with renewed vigor.
