15 injured in Hillcrest taxi accident

The patients were treated on scene before transported to various hospitals.

FIFTEEN people were injured in a taxi accident on Old Main Road, just after iNanda Road, in Hillcrest this morning.

According to Garrith Jamieson from Rescue Care Paramedics, paramedics were called to a serious taxi and light delivery vehicle accident just after 7.30am.

“Patients were found on scene with various injuries and paramedics had to immediately call more ambulances and advanced life support paramedics.”

Jamieson said all patients were treated on scene and transported to various hospital.

He added that the cause of the accident is unknown at the moment but police were on scene and will be investigating.
