All visitors must wear a mask while in the reserve and access is limited to walking and running only. The forest trail gates at Bridle Road will remain closed.
“We are extremely appreciative that the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve is once again open for hiking, albeit with some conditions/restrictions,” said the Kloof Conservancy’s chairman, Paolo Candotti.
“Although the restrictions may be difficult for some, we appeal to all visitors to please adhere to the conditions and regulations and to also be patient as the reserve team adjusts to implementing them. We do live in exceptional circumstances and everyone is doing their best to be reasonable. We would hate to see the reserve close again due to non-adherence as in the Cape where SANPARKS closed the trails on Lion’s Head as a large number of visitors were ignoring the regulations.”
