Vaccinate your pets against rabies at Kloof SPCA

To adhere to all Covid-19 regulations, the vaccination clinic will be held as a 'drive-thru'.

TAKE your pets to the Kloof and Highway SPCA’s annual Rabies Vaccination Clinic on Sunday, 4 October at its premises, 29 Village Road in Kloof, from 8am to 12pm.

The ‘drive-thru’ Rabies Vaccination Clinic will be held in the organisation’s driveway that leads up from the the NPO’s main reception.

“We ask that you remain in your vehicle with your pets to ensure we adhere to social distancing and Covid-19 regulations,” said the Kloof and Highway SPCA’s Brigitte Ferguson.

She said that rabies vaccinations need to be done annually to ensure the vaccine remains effective.

“Vaccinating your pet against rabies is not only for your pet’s safety, but is also to ensure the safety of your family and community. Rabies is fatal and the threat of it should not be taken lightly,” said Ferguson.

Pet owners are encouraged to take along their existing vaccination history, but vaccination certificates will be provided. All dogs need to be on leads and all cats need to be contained in secure baskets or cat cages.

The cost per vaccination is a donation of any amount. Contact Brigitte via the reception on 031 764 1212 or email marketing@kloofspca.co.za.
