Local snake man rescues three adorable kittens

The groundskeeper at the facility said the mother of the three kittens had not been seen.

WHILE hosting a snake awareness training session in Wartburg on Tuesday, Nick Evans’ next rescues were not on his usual list of reptilian suspects as they came in the form of three furry felines.

The furry trio were in a room where he was hosting the training session.

“They were feral and they would not leave my feet alone. They were constantly around my feet, rubbing against my shoe and one even fell asleep against my shoe,” he laughed.

To ensure they were not eaten by a python at a nearby nature reserve, or became feral cats that lived off of the protected area, he asked the staff if they had seen the mother.

With confirmation from the groundskeeper that the mother had not been seen, he offered to take them.

The three kittens were then taken to the Blair Atholl Veterinary Clinic where they were dewormed. They also gave him some food to look after the three five-week-old furballs. Two of them are male and one is a female.

“I’m not a cat person but they are extremely cute. I fell a bit in love with them. You just couldn’t say no to them. They have found homes and should live a better life,” he smiled.
