5 tips to help empower your business in 2021
Award-winning business coach, Darryn Le Grange, encourages business owners to begin planning for 2021 as soon as possible with these handy hints.
LOCAL business coach, Darryn Le Grange has urged business owners to start planning now for 2021 and has shared five tips to help ease the planning process.
Plan your budget
Flexible sales goals and realistic expense plans should be included in 2021’s budget. Create a rolling 12-month budget that can be reviewed and updated each month.
“Operating without a budget puts you at a distinct disadvantage to competitors who know their costs, monitor their results and make business changes quickly if things do not go to plan,” said ActionCOACH Ignite’s Le Grange.
Compile your marketing plan in advance
When planning ahead, business owners are forced to identify what needs to be accomplished and the steps needed to reach those goals. Strategies that are most suitable for your business need to be identified and a roll out plan, with relevant implementation dates, needs to be created. The results of each campaign need to be measured.
Set 90 day goals
Le Grange encouraged business owners to retain their annual goals but to also focus their vision to 90-day goals.
“By planning your business goals in 90-day chunks, you create an environment of accountability, while still leaving room to adapt to market trends and change course as needed. Start off by choosing three core goals that you want your business to focus on for the first quarter of the new year, then involve your team and break each goal down into actionable steps,” he said.
Establish clear objectives
All goals need to be clear measurable and realistic.
“Starting the new year without clear objectives, specific directions or a prepared plan of action is like starting out on a road trip with no idea where you’re going or how to get there,” he said.
Create a 2021 business resolution
Besides personal resolutions, business owners are encouraged to create impactful resolutions for their business.
“Make time to revisit your business plan and evaluate which strategies have and haven’t worked. It may be necessary to rework or adjust certain plans, structures and tactics in order to effectively realign your business plan,” said Le Grange.
