Hillcrest matrics’ dine in style

Despite the school not being able to host a full matric dance because of Covid-19 restrictions, the learners still looked glamorous.

HILLCREST High School recently hosted its matric dinner in the school’s new multi-purpose indoor centre.

The centre was transformed into a magical and elegant setting with the help of many volunteers.

“The class of 2021 has faced another difficult senior year of their schooling and we were very grateful to be able to offer them the opportunity to sparkle and have some much-needed enjoyment before the hard work of studying for their final examinations begins.

“We had a very pleasant dinner for our Grade 12s and I was very pleased that we were able to go ahead with the event (even though it was not a full matric dance) and that so many learners attended. I must say, they all looked magnificent,” said headmaster, Craig Girvin.
