Michaela Swan was placed in the top five in the Pinetown District with eight subject distinctions and an aggregate of 93.83%.

Of the 217 matriculants, 212 learners achieved a Bachelor’s Degree pass. The school recorded 629 subject distinctions, 72 learners achieved an A aggregate, while 205 learners achieved an aggregate of 60% and above.

The WGHS principal, Russell Untiedt, said the Grade 12 class of 2021 ought to be justifiably proud of the fine set of results they attained.

“An extraordinary achievement, considering the educational setbacks they have faced across nearly two years of dealing with the challenges brought about by a
global pandemic.

“The school applauds the collective efforts of the staff who have given their all to educate this fine cohort of young women since their Grade 8 year,” said Untiedt.
