New Germany Library celebrates World Read Aloud Day
Today is World Read Aloud Day and this year, Nal’ibali is celebrating with a brand new special story: A Party at the Park by Mabel Mnensa.
NEW Germany Library has created a fantastic display to commemorate and encourage communal reading on World Read Aloud Day, Wednesday, February 2.
World Read Aloud Day is celebrated annually in more than, 173 countries and is all about bringing people together through the shared connection of reading aloud.

According to local author, Karen Le Grange, reading should be fun and you can learn so much from it, without you even realising it.
“Books can make you laugh, or transport you to faraway lands, and transform you into a dragon-slayer or a mermaid. Books make you part of the magic of a story,” she said.
