Durban’s biggest car show welcomes stunt legend Didi Bizzarro

Didi Bizzarro, a stuntman from the Fast and Furious franchise, is ready to amaze Durban this Father‘s Day weekend.

DIDI Bizzarro, a renowned stuntman, will demonstrate some of his incredible feats, including burnouts – which people have undoubtedly seen before. But have you ever seen a burnout while the vehicle is on two wheels? That’s just one of the numerous mind-blowing stunts taking place at A State of Stance 2022, Pavilion Shopping Centre, in Westville, this Saturday and Sunday, June 18 and 19.

Bizzarro was born in Limassol, Cyprus, while his family was on tour in the country. He now calls Roma, Italy, home. He made his first performance on stage at the age of four and become professional at the age of 14. You’ll have a hard time finding a stuntman with more experience (and a longer list of broken bones incurred during preparation) than Bizzarro.

This high-octane yet family-friendly event, presented by VP Racing Fuels SA, will feature displays of custom-built stance cars; hot rods and other exciting vehicles; as well as an appearance by the Red Bull Car Park Drift champions; a thrilling display by SA’s Queen of Smoke, Stacey-Lee May; a sound-off competition aiming for 10 world records; an afterparty with artists such as superstar rapper and singer AKA, and plenty more.

So, what else can we expect from Bizzarro in the fourth part of A State of Stance? He recently gave his stunt-driving talents to the Fast & Furious 10, as well as the 2021 blockbusters – House of Gucci and Red Notice. He’ll be drifting, showcasing his precision driving talents, and even performing a few motorcycle tricks.

Bizzarro has a soft spot for rear-wheel-drive BMWs, and his collection includes a modified M135i. He also has a race-ready E46 M3.

When questioned about the most fulfilling aspect of his job, Bizzarro’s response was refreshingly straightforward: ‘The crowd’s reaction’.

On Saturday, June 18, tickets cost R250 per person, and on Sunday, June 19, tickets cost R200 per person. Saturday‘s VIP tickets are R500 and Sunday‘s are R400. Children under the age of ten are admitted for free, while pensioners pay only R150.

Be sure to book your tickets now to avoid disappointment! Tickets available at Webtickets.co.za.
