Visit the Rastafarian Caves near Inanda Dam

Share reggae vibes with Inanda's Rastafarian community on International Reggae Day.

INTERNATIONAL Reggae Day is celebrated annually around the world on July 1.

Reggae is a popular music form of Jamaican origin and is an integral part of the Rastafarian religion and lifestyle.

A vibrant Rastafarian community resides in Inanda, near Hillcrest, 30 km northwest of Durban.

Green Corridors, a Durban-based NGO, runs guided tours in a brightly coloured Quantum minibus to the Rastafarian community, nearby Umzinyathi Falls and the sacred caves.

A portion of the tour price is donated to the Rastafarian community.

The tour duration is approximately three hours, and departure is from the Green Hub, 31 Stiebel Place, Durban. The tour cost is R300 per person and includes the cost of the guide, entry and a shuttle from Green Hub to Inanda.
