TWO suspects are to appear at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court for house robbery and murder in connection with a house robbery in Westville where the resident died in hospital after being shot.

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson reported on the incident, saying that the paramedics arrived on the scene to find the SAPS and security personnel in attendance and were shown into a house.

The homeowner, a male in his 50s, had allegedly been shot by intruders in his house.

“He had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body and was in critical condition. Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilise the man on the scene before rushing him to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required,” he said.
