Siyajabula Pre-School, owned by principal Buyi Ngongoma, has been a partner of Focus on iThemba since 2012. Through this collaboration, Siyajabula has evolved from humble beginnings to a nurturing environment catering to 118 children aged from 3 months to 6 years. As the school commemorates its 30th founding anniversary, it stands as a testament to the transformative power of education and community support.

Under the visionary leadership of Buyi Ngongoma, and with the support of Focus on iThemba, Siyajabula has emerged as a beacon of excellence in early childhood education. The school’s commitment to providing a high-quality learning experience has earned it widespread acclaim, and its ever-growing waiting list is the reason for this structural transformation project. The expansion includes two additional classrooms, an office, storage, ablutions and an extended play area.

During this poignant Opening Celebration, Principal Buyi Ngongoma and her family were overcome with emotion as they were honoured for being change-makers in the Embo Community for many generations. Under Principal Buyi’s stewardship, this new building is sure to impact many young lives for years to come.
