Fuel prices set to decrease again

South African motorists are to benefit from a third consecutive fuel drop, effective from Wednesday, May 7. The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources confirmed the decrease in fuel prices, which was welcomed by the South African Petroleum Retailers Association (SAPRA).

THE SA Petroleum Retailers Association (Sapra) national vice chairperson Lebo Ramolahloane has welcomed the decrease in prices of petroleum products during this challenging economic period.

“The decrease in petrol, diesel, and illuminating paraffin prices provides immediate relief to South African motorists and businesses. In a fragile economy such as ours, this is a welcomed development that could ease inflationary pressures and provide a short-term boost in consumer spending power,” said Ramolahloane.
