Caxton team prioritises wellness

This was the second corporate wellness day held at the Highway Mail office in conjunction with PinkDrive.

THE Caxton Local Media Durban team swapped their desks for dance shoes and health checks last Friday (September 5) in a lively Spring into Wellness corporate wellness day.

The wellness day, held in collaboration with PinkDrive, Justine cosmetics, and Helpful Scientists, offered staff free health screenings, skin analysis, breast examinations and advice on gut health.

Fiks Khuzwayo of Fiks the Coffee Queen brews up delicious blends at the corporate wellness day.

There was also a fitness demonstration by Tarine Keet from ShakeIt Dance Fit as well as an activation from Virgin Active La Lucia.

Kauai Kloof also came on board and sponsored two R300 vouchers while Fiks Khuzwayo, who was The Battle of the Beans ambassador for the day, had everyone on their feet during the Coffee Rave, fuelled by plenty of freshly brewed flavour.

Cupcakes and muffins, generously sponsored by staff members, were sold at R10 to raise funds for PinkDrive.
A total of R520 was handed over to the NPO.

PinkDrive’s Durban marketing and event co-ordinator, Janice Benecke, reminded staff that early detection saves lives.

Tneil Robertson, Audrey Jean Louis and Kerusha Pillay of Helpful Scientists offer advice on gut health and overall well-being.

“It was a great morning of interacting with staff at the Highway Mail office, ensuring that their checks were done,” she said.

Noreen Perryman receives a treatment from Justine cosmetics sales representative, Vikki Ward.

When all the dancing and checking was over, staff were treated to goodie bags sponsored by La Lucia Mall and Kensington SPAR.
