Help Durban SPCA ace fundraiser in La Lucia

The fundraiser has replaced the association’s annual golf day due to the rising popularity of the sport.

A NEW date and venue has been set for the next Durban & Coast SPCA fundraising Padel Tournament.

The fundraiser takes place on Saturday, September 13 at Africa Padel La Lucia (La Lucia Mall) and will see Durbanites raise funds for the association on the padel court.

The cost to enter is R450 per person (teams of two) and there are awesome prizes to be won.

“It’s just a bit of fun while fundraising. Normally around this time of the year we host our annual Golf Day but we felt with how the sport of padel is growing, why not try out something new this year,” explained Durban & Coast SPCA spokesperson Tanya Fleischer.

“The day starts at 10:00 and the cost covers an hour plus balls on the day. We also hope to have our new mascot Humphrey there on the day. Booking is essential and while we have got the ball rolling on bookings, we are encouraging Durbanites to snap up the remaining places as we have all the courts booked out until 14:00. This event is family friendly and participants can do a bit of shopping at the mall and make use of the play area at the park next to the court on the day,” she said.

Email Fleischer on tanya@spcadbn.org.za to book on the day.
