There have been numerous changes over the years, both in the pharmacy and in the industry, but the core values have never changed. By focusing on the needs of the community and always paying attention to the ever-changing services required, the pharmacy has ensured it remains a pillar of healthcare in the Highway area.

“Currently we are owned by the Alpha Pharm Corporate Group. We are one of 25 corporate owned stores and part of a national franchise footprint with 415 retail stores country wide. The Alpha brand has become a household name – trusted and proven over many years of reliable supply. With the strength of the Alpha brand behind us, with 144 clinics, six fully owned distribution centres in major cities and two pharmaceutical manufacturers within the group, we are confident that we will be able to continue to offer the services to our community into the immediate future and beyond.

“We are still the only pharmacy in the Highway area open late into the night. We are known for our after hours service and the size and strength of our dispensary, as well as the wide range of front shop items available at competitive prices,” said Murray Square pharmacist Les Halgreen.
