Western areas to be affected by water-supply restrictions

There will be a possible water outage in the Western areas due to a pipeline relocation.

THE eThekwini Municipality has advised residents in the Western areas about the possible water-supply restrictions. According to the municipality, the said restriction is due to the second phase of a pipeline relocation by SANRAL.

“This is to complete the construction of the N3 highway in the vicinity of Lynfield Park. During this process, there will be some water supply to affected communities, however, consumers are urged to reduce consumption to prevent reservoirs from running dry as there will be reduced incoming flows into the system,” they stated. 

The pipeline relocation is from November 29 to 30.

  • Botha’s Hill
  • Kloof
  • New Germany
  • KwaDabeka
  • Westmead
  • Tshelimnyama
  • Kwandengezi
  • Dassenhoek
  • Coffee Farm

  • Ntuzuma
  • Mzinyathi
  • Crestholme

Residents from the affected areas are urged to reduce their consumption to avoid water outages.
