Don’t miss out on the fun – enter the Amazing Race fundraiser

Bring your friends, book your team and have loads of fun.

THE public is invited to enter the Amazing Race 2023 in teams of four to five people. It will take place on Saturday, February 25.

The race is a fundraising event modelled after the Columbia Broadcasting System show.

One of the organisers, Nandia Blom, said that after huge successes in the past, another ‘Amazing Race’ will be hosted in Hillcrest.

“The teams compete in mental and physical challenges at secret locations in Hillcrest for R250 per person, with R50 of each entry fee donated to CHOC – The Cows KZN Herd. The challenges are all lighthearted and not too difficult,” said Blom.

At the start of the race, the organisers will supply the necessary clues and riddles to enable contestants to follow the route, which consists of a number of stops with various activities participants need to complete at each stop.

“The event’s focus is all about fun, creativity and fundraising. Winners will be determined using a point system, with various vouchers and prizes to be distributed for best dressed, best team spirit, and more,” added Blom.

The start and finish will be at Forest Hills Sports Club, where fires will be lit for the prize-giving at the end of the race.

Book your teams on WhatsApp at 062 445 5061, or send a message on the Amazing Race Facebook page or email blomnandia@gmail.com.

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
