Four suspects arrested for business robbery

Pinetown police have linked suspects to a business robbery that took place on February 14 in Westmead.

FOUR suspects will be appearing at the Pinetown Magistrate’s court for charges of business robbery. The four suspects were arrested on Monday, 13 March. Pinetown Police communications officer Bongumusa Manqele said the suspects were found to be linked to a robbery at a company on Kyalami Road in Westmead.

“It is alleged that on February 14, two security guards were on duty when they were robbed of their firearms by three suspects who also stole their cellphones. The suspects broke into the company and stole two flat-screen television sets before they fled in their getaway vehicle parked outside the premises,” he said.
