The day will include live entertainment, food stalls, children’s activities, demonstrations and displays.

BELLAIR SAPS, as well as the Bellair Community Police Forum (CPF), have encouraged residents to support this weekend’s Crime Awareness Day.

The event will be held at the Hillary Primary School grounds (Stella Road) on Saturday, October 21 from 10:00.

The aim of the event is to bring various industry stakeholders together as a show of united force in the fight against crime and to provide the local community the opportunity to engage with law enforcement and leaders in the community.

The day will include live entertainment, food stalls, children’s activities, demonstrations and displays.

According to Bellair SAPS spokesperson, Warrant Officer Pam Pillay, the day is about bringing the community together.

“The community will be able to engage with other SAPS departments, security companies and neighbourhood watches. Come watch demonstrations and displays by various SAPSs, other government departments and security companies, as well as enjoy fun entertainment for kids. The flea market is for all ages. The neighbouring communities are welcome to be a part of this amazing event, and we hope to see as many people there as possible,” she said.
