Du Plessis said the day would not have been possible without the team she worked with. “I am very grateful to them, and I would also like to thank God for how the day turned out.”
The resident said she loves and adores older people, which was the reason she decided to do something special for them.
“I wanted them to feel like royalty. Sometimes older people are lonely. Families have immigrated. Perhaps some have not seen their loved ones in years, so this day was a special day for them.
“I love living here with my husband as we just celebrated our first wedding anniversary,” she said.
She also conveyed her gratitude to McFarlane for the beautiful music.
“We closed off with Pralin Ross who also came through to bless us with her amazing voice,” said a grateful du Plessis.
She also thanked the sponsors who donated special gifts for the guests.
