Decomposed body found in car – Pinetown

The body of the deceased is believed to have been there for five to 10 days.

A BODY of a man has been found at a house in Nigella Place in Pinetown.

Marshall Security Andreas Mathios, who was among the first people to arrive at the scene, said they received a message through neighbourhood watch networks reporting a foul smell coming from the house.

“Assistance was called, and the first person to respond was a neighbour who recovered the decomposed body in the car.”

Mathios said the body is badly decomposed and must have been there for five to 10 days.

At this stage, the cause of death is not clear.

“We are waiting for authorities to investigate,” said Mathios.

There was also a dog on the property which has been removed by the Kloof and Highway SPCA inspectors.

Sanelisiwe Tsinde

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
