Roseway Waldorf unveils inaugural arts festival

IN a dazzling crescendo of creativity, Roseway Waldorf School proudly announces its first Arts Festival, which is set to captivate the community on Saturday, March 2, from 10:00 to 15:00.
The festival promises to be a joyous celebration of art, music, dance and a kaleidoscope of expression arts, showcasing the diverse talents within and beyond the school’s vibrant community.
This exciting event is not just about the arts; it’s a celebration of what makes us human – a beautiful mosaic of creativity and expression. Attendees can expect a lively atmosphere filled with live performances, including dynamic displays of live dance and music that will unfold before your eyes.

As guests wander through the festival grounds, their senses will be immersed in a tapestry of artistic experiences. From captivating dance routines to soul-stirring musical performances, the Arts Festival will showcase the school’s commitment to a holistic celebration of the arts.
People can also immerse themselves in the world of art with live demonstrations in oil painting, painting with ink, pencil sketching and acrylic pouring. There will be skilled artists turning blank canvases into masterpieces, offering a unique opportunity for festival-goers to witness the creative process up close.
The festivities will take place at the school grounds, offering a welcoming space for families and friends to experience a day filled with artistic exploration. The entrance fee is a nominal R50 for adults and R30 for kids under 16.
From interactive art installations to mouthwatering food and drinks available for purchase, the Arts Festival is a perfect blend of creativity, culture and community.
“We believe in the transformative power of the arts,” said Cassie Moore, lead organiser of the festival and Roseway Waldorf music educator.
“This event is a testament to our commitment to fostering a sense of community and bringing the joy of art and creativity to every member of our community.”
