The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said the court appearances follow a collaboration between them and the SAPS through prosecutor-guided investigations.

Present in court were Police Minister Bheki Cele, KZN Police Commissioner General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, and Forbes’ father, Tony Forbes, among many other members of the public who filled the courtroom.

The matter was provisionally remanded to March 6 for bail verification. The men will remain in custody in the interim.
