Bellair SAPS clerk recognised at awards

Fazana Ebrahim, an administrative clerk and Crime Information Management and Analysis Centre (CIMAC) official at the station, has worked in the service for the past 16 years.

BELLAIR South African Police Service (SAPS) member Fazana Ebrahim was recently recognised at the SAPS National Excellence Awards ceremony.

Ebrahim, an administrative clerk and Crime Information Management and Analysis Centre (CIMAC) official at the station, has worked in the service for the past 16 years.

She was the second runner-up in the category, ‘Administration Employee of the Year (Level 5–7)’ at the National Excellence Awards evening.

“To be recognised by the National SAPS Commissioner is a huge honour. It is not something I strive for, and in order for you to be considered for the award, you have to be nominated for it. This isn’t the first time I’ve been nominated, and I now have two national commissioner certificates, which is truly humbling. I have worked in the SAPS for 16 years, and the reason I chose the service was because I wanted to make a difference in my community. It is something I enjoy, especially helping out,” Ebrahim said.
