Pinetown SAPS communications officer Jennifer Naidu said this open forum provides an opportunity to share concerns, feedback and suggestions.

“The meeting will provide a unique opportunity for community members to engage with local authorities. The residents’ participation is invaluable in shaping a safer and more harmonious community.

“We urge the residents to attend the meeting,” she said.

In addition, Naidu urges the public to make use of the suggestion box at the Community Service Centre to report or evaluate police services.

“People should also report all crime. There is no such thing as a small crime; the public should change their perception of labelling crimes as being petty or insignificant. This includes crimes such as the theft of a gate battery,” she added.

Sanelisiwe Tsinde

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
