Watt was one of 10 Oxford Market finalists who stood a chance to win the grand prize. All finalists were drawn from Oxford Market Freshmarket Rewards cardholders and each received at least R10 000 in Oxford shopping vouchers.
For Watt, the win means the opportunity to reunite with family across the globe.
“This isn’t just going to change our lives; we are able to use this to bless others too. As for my wife, children, and me, we can now visit family in the USA who are expecting a baby in February.
“I feel immensely grateful to the Lord for entrusting us with this prize. I also can’t thank Oxford enough,” he said.
In addition to prizes worth R500 000, other brands joined the give-away. Customers on the day also stood a chance to win in-store products.

Brett Latimer and Paul Beltramo of Oxford Market expressed their gratitude for the event’s success. “We are thrilled with the outcome of this year’s event and delighted to announce that one of our very own Waterfall residents, Stuart Watt, is the winner. While the Bluff has taken the title for the past few years, this year’s result proves that anyone in our community has a chance to win,” they said.
Oxford Market reported that the day’s events were a resounding success. “We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us to make it special,” they added.
