Dogs die in Malvern house fire

Paramedics treated two people on scene for smoke inhalation.

SEVERAL dogs died after being trapped in a house which caught fire in Inverleigh Road, Malvern yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, April 23).

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said the eThekwini Fire Department were in attendance with  CPF members extinguishing the fire.

According to Jamieson, two people were treated for smoke inhalation.

“Unfortunately, there were multiple dogs that were entrapped in the house and were unable to exit the flames and unfortunately passed away,” reported Jamieson.

He said the fire department and police will investigate the cause of the fire.
