Hillcrest High pleads for donations for former pupil in ICU

Daniel McPhail is currently fighting for his life in the ICU.

THE Hillcrest High School has called on the public to give a helping hand to a former pupil who is in ICU following a motorbike accident.

On their social media platforms seeking kind support for the pupil who matriculated last year, the school posted that Daniel McPhail had been on his motorbike on his way to work when the accident occurred, leaving him with severe injuries.

“He is currently fighting for his life in the ICU. Today he will undergo a further surgical intervention to save his arm,” reads the post.

A Back-A-Buddy campaign for Daniel has been initiated for anyone wishing to extend a helping hand to the McPhail family – backabuddy.co.za/daniel-mcphail

Funds received will help cover Daniel’s medical bills “as despite having medical aid, there are excessive additional costs which are already mounting”.

“This is the last thing the family should be having to worry about, when needing to focus on Daniel pulling through and healing from this accident.”
