Man arrested for fatal stabbing of a woman in Pinetown
The police say the 35-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death by a 43-year-old man believed to be her partner.
ON Tuesday, October 28, a 43-year-old man was arrested in connection with the murder of a 35-year-old woman believed to be his partner.
Communications officer at the Pinetown SAPS Jennifer Naidu confirmed the murder of the woman on Sunday, October 26, at approximately 03:00 at a residence on Glenridge Road in Pinetown.
“The victim was stabbed multiple times with an okapi knife. She was declared deceased on the scene,” said Naidu.

Naidu added that when the suspect was arrested by Detective Sergeant Neolin Chetty from the Pinetown SAPS, he was allegedly found in possession of property belonging to the murdered woman.
“He is facing a charge of murder and will appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, October 30,” said Naidu.
Naidu said the matter is still under investigation.
