Progress update on Stapleton Rd

Ward 18 councillor Melanie Brauteseth says the wonderful news are that the contractors expect to complete all surfacing works by 12 December, subject to favourable weather conditions and material supply.

WARD 18 councillor Melanie Brauteseth has provided an update on the ongoing roadwork on Stapleton Road, which she described as “wonderful news”.

According to the councillor, as of December 1, the laying of the base layer on the lane near the Engen Garage has been completed, with final wearing course due to be laid this week.

“Once that is complete, the team will proceed with the permanent road marking,” said Brauteseth.

She urged road users and motorists to be cautious “when travelling through this section”.

“The barriers will be removed during this process; however, I have been assured that the lane will remain safe. There are high manholes and valves on the road, so caution is advised.

“The wonderful news is that the contractors expect to complete all surfacing works by 12 December, subject to favourable weather conditions and material supply,” said Brauteseth.
