Help fill welfare society’s food room
Pinetown-Highway Child and Family Welfare Society, an organisation that has been serving the Pinetown community for the past 93 years helping vulnerable children and orphans, needs your help fill its food room.
THE Pinetown-Highway Child and Family Welfare Society’s food room is empty and the organisation is appealing to the community and business owners to help replenish its shelves.
The Welfare Society’s Nallini Munian said their organisation has served the Pinetown community and clients for the past 93 years.

The welfare society services the Impola, St Wendolins, Mariannridge, Wyebank, Mariannhill, Molweni, Embo, KwaNqetho, KwaNyuswa, KwaNgcolosi, Shallcross, Tshelimnyama, Burlington, Luganda, Savannah Park, Dassenhoek and Demat communities.
They deal with vulnerable children and orphans and work with various families and offer support to foster parents.
“The donated food is then distributed to the needy in the community,” said Munian.
She added that all donations are welcome but the following items are needed; nappies, baby milk powder, canned food, baby cereals, samp, beans, sugar, tea, peanut butter or jam and toiletries, laptops, and servicing of motor vehicles.
