One person deceased following taxi crash

A taxi driver has died and several passengers were injured after a serious collision on the M7 near the Winston Churchill offramp.

A TAXI driver was declared deceased after their vehicle collided with another on Friday afternoon, December 26, on the M7 near the Winston Churchill offramp.

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said when their teams attended to the crash they found “total carnage and chaos”  at the scene of the crash which involved a fully loaded taxi with 17 passengers.

Jamieson said the deceased taxi driver was one of three people who were in a critical condition and that all injured persons have been rushed to nearby hospitals.
