Group of men rob a pharmacy in Pinetown
It is alleged that two of the suspects were armed with guns. They fled the scene with perfumes, cash and a cellphone.

POLICE have reported that about 10 to 12 suspects, two armed with guns, are believed to be behind an armed robbery which took place at a pharmacy in Pinetown on Thursday (January 8).
Pinetown SAPS communications officer Jennifer Naidu said it is alleged that the suspects, wearing masks and large hats, entered the parking area at one of the centres.
“One man who was pushing a trolley removed a firearm from a bag and entered the pharmacy. He pointed the firearm at the branch manager and instructed him to lie down.

“Thereafter, additional unconfirmed suspects entered the pharmacy. Another armed suspect approached the cashier, pointed a firearm at her, and demanded cash. The remaining suspects proceeded to steal various perfumes from the store,” she said.
According to Naidu, there were seven staff members inside the pharmacy at the time of the incident.
“The suspects fled the scene with an amount of cash which was later confirmed to be approximately R5 548 as well as one cellphone.
“The suspects escaped in a silver-grey Suzuki Swift and a white Hyundai Grand i10.”
Naidu added that no shots were fired and no injuries were reported.
