EDITOR – Whilst I believe the developments currently underway in Waterfall, both the roads and the new Watercrest Mall, are additions that many people will be happy to see the completion of. I believe this is only the beginning for the once sleepy suburb of Waterfall.
Whilst most of us look forward to shopping at the new mall, just remember that these monstrosities usually come hand in hand with a large increase of cars and delivery trucks. Then there are those amazing cash collectors, the paid parking system. I would put money on it that these will grace the presence of the parking lot of the new centre before the lines are even painted on the tarmac. Some might argue that they will save on fuel from not having to go to Gateway or the Pavilion as frequently, especially since it will take less time to get there with the new roads. But there will always be a reason to go there. Besides, our local geniuses will probably put an e-toll on the new road as it must have cost a fortune to build since it will be finished in a quarter of the time that it took them to finish Hillcrest, which still is not finished in places.
