EDITOR – On Thursday 25 September at about 5.15pm I was travelling down the M13 to Pinetown and noticed among the heavy volume of cars going west on the M13, several heavies, including a cement truck which appeared to have no load of concrete.
I was gobsmacked when I saw a huge carrier truck among the cars. There were at least eight vans, I guess they would be called, with VALUE logos on.
What has happened to the policy of no trucks between certain hours? It’s no wonder motorists become stressed and road rage rules. Have the authorities turned a blind eye to this, as usual, or just couldn’t be bothered?
Can you imagine how the coffers would be boosted if these heavy vehicle owners and drivers were fined for ignoring the no trucks ruling?
