EDITOR – I was walking my dogs in Beverley Drive, Westville on Saturday, 29 June when a dog escaped from her property and attacked me. I sat on the pavement, staring aghast at my open, bleeding wounds, and pulling hard on my three dogs to prevent them from running into the road and after the dog, which had thankfully retreated.
Four cars drove past while I sat there and no one stopped to assist me. To the occupants of the vehicles, shame on you. You must all suffer from ‘ostrich syndrome’. Your actions have, however, reaffirmed my decision to leave South Africa. This country is literally going to the dogs.
