Highway roads need urgent attention

Several roads need to be retarred and verges cut back.

I TRAVEL from Durban North to Kloof and back every day to work.

The roads are appalling.

On the M19, the road from just past the Otto Volek off-ramp under the bridge (to and from Durban) then St John’s Avenue past Checkers, both ways, and Mellor Roads right to Crompton Street are riddled with potholes – for the past eight months.

Also the verges glide-off from Fields Hill into Pinetown, and at the glide-off to St John’s bridge, the grass is so long and this is the entrance to Pinetown. What a welcome.

My grandfather, Thomas Hewlett Trotter (founder of Pinetown, started Trotters Jellies Factory) must be turning in his grave.

Please can the roads be re-tarred? It’s causing huge tyre damage, etc.
