When will banks process IDs and passports in KZN?

"Two branches of the bank with the blue flag logo in Johannesburg and Cape Town have a dedicated staff members from Home Affairs who are trained to do passports and IDs, fingerprints, etc."

REGARDING the letters about long queues at the Department of Home Affairs branches – two branches of a bank in Johannesburg and Cape Town have a dedicated staff member from Home Affairs trained to do passports and IDs, fingerprints, etc.

Getting a passport takes about two weeks, an ID about 10 days, the queues are fast and efficient and the whole procedure is relatively painless, with the same procedure – an SMS to tell you it is ready to be picked up. Why is KZN not included?

We all need to petition to get the same service in a branch in Durban, even travelling from the Highway area would be worth it.
