CASH-in-transit heists are increasing in number in South Africa and lives are lost and it’s costing millions to replace vehicles.
Increasing firearm power and faster vehicles won’t solve this problem.
I ask why large amounts of cash must be transported in vehicles marked ‘cash in transit’, why not disguise the drivers and the vehicles to look like everyday people?
They can be trained.
When they arrive at a drop-off point, the vehicle can be driven into a secure area and the cash safely transferred from the vehicle.
For example, an everyday police vehicle.
At least that way they can still be armed.
