Dark Crompton Street a crime hotspot

"Probably, as a result of the non-functioning of street lights there has been a number of burglaries in the area."

FOR the past few months the street lights in Crompton Street have systematically ceased to work.

Calls to the correct department at eThekwini only brings reference numbers and excuses as to why the lights are not repaired. (We have also been assured that the lights have all been repaired).

Probably, as a result of the non-functioning of street lights there has been a number of burglaries in the area, so much so that I understand that one particular complex has been hit no less than nine times in the past three weeks. Can anyone tell me how to get these inefficient persons responsible for attending to the street lights to get moving and to attend to the lights?

We are tired of nothing but excuses and need action.
