THERE is a tree in East Street and the branches have not only overgrown the driveway between my property and my neighbour’s, but have now overgrown my property and are dropping leaves into my driveway and blocking my gutters.
The branches are also endangering my telephone line.
I have written a letter to the owner asking that she attends to this.
Should she ignore me, what would be my recourse?
Response from the eThekwini Municipality, Parks Department
The tree belongs to private property; we cannot intervene with private property, but maybe a suggestion is for you to contact your insurance to liaise with her insurance.
At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
